However, there are hellish states of mind and woeful births for those who think and act wrongfully\u2014temporary tormenting conditions that lift the fiery forces within. Aum.<br><br>BH\u0100SHYA<br>Hell, termed Naraka, is the lower astral realm of the seven chak\u00adras below the m\u016bl\u0101dh\u0101ra. It is a place of fire and heat, anguish and dismay, of confusion, despair and de\u00adpres\u00adsion. Here anger, jealousy, argument, mental con\u00adflict and tormenting moods plague the mind. Ac\u00adcess to hell is brought about by our own thoughts, words, deeds and emotions\u2014sup\u00adpressed, an\u00adtag\u00adon\u00adistic feelings that court demons and their ag\u00adgres\u00adsive forces. Hell is not eternal. Nor is there a Satan who tempts man and opposes God\u2019s power, though there are devilish beings called asuras, im\u00ad\u00admature souls caught in the abyss of de\u00adcep\u00adtion and hurt\u00ad\u00adfulness. We do not have to die to suffer the Na\u00adra\u00adka regions, for hellish states of mind are also experienced in the physi\u00adcal world. If we do die in a hellish state of consciousness\u2014burdened by unresolved hatred, re\u00admorse, resentment, fear and distorted patterns of thought\u2014we ar\u00adrive in Nara\u00adka fully equipped to join others in this tem\u00adporary astral purgatory.
