The lower right hand is raised in blessing, betokening preservation. The upper left hand holds a flame, which is destruction, the dissolution of form. The right leg, representing obscuring grace, stands upon Apasm\u0101rapurusha, a soul temporarily Earthbound by its own sloth, confusion and forgetfulness. The up\u00adlifted left leg is revealing grace, which re\u00adleases the ma\u00adture soul from bondage. The lower left hand gestures toward that holy foot in assurance that \u015aiva\u2019s grace is the refuge for everyone, the way to liberation. The circle of fire rep\u00adre\u00adsents the cosmos and especially consciousness. The all-de\u00advouring form looming above is Ma\u00adh\u0101\u00adk\u0101la, \u201cGreat Time.\u201d The cobra around Na\u1e6dar\u0101ja\u2019s waist is ku\u1e47\u1e0dalin\u012b \u015bakti, the soul-impelling cosmic power resident within all. Na\u1e6dar\u0101\u00adja\u2019s dance is not just a symbol. It is taking place within each of us, at the atomic level, this very mo\u00adment.
